Operations Advice – Regional Victoria

Changes to Golf Operations:

  • Golf may resume for social and competition play in groups of 4.
  • Indoor non-seated entertainment, i.e. indoor simulator use & coaching, open up to 1 person per 4 square meters up to 100 people per venue.
  • Spectators are not permitted except for those who are necessary for the event, such as teachers, instructors, trainers, coaches, umpires, carers, parents, and guardians.
  • COVID check in marshals must ensure that attendees check in.

Changes to Hospitality Operations:

  • Open for seated service only
  • 1 patron per 4 square metres applies up to a maximum of 100 people per venue
  • Venues smaller than 100 square meters may have up to 25 patrons

Changes to General Operations

  • Patrons must reside in Regional Victoria, and golf clubs/facilities will need to verify that they are not a resident of Metropolitan Melbourne upon their arrival.
  • Masks must be worn at all times unless you are; eating or drinking, you are short of breath, or have another permitted reason.
  • Staff who live in Metropolitan Melbourne may attend regional on-site work, but must abide by the Metropolitan Melbourne restrictions while in Regional Victoria.

  • There are no changes for Metropolitan Melbourne. Clubs/facilities must remain closed except for the provision of takeaway food & beverage and the essential maintenance of the facility.
  • Metropolitan Melbourne includes the following LGAs: Banyule, Hume, Moreland, Bayside, Kingston, Mornington Peninsula, Boroondara, Knox, Nillumbik, Brimbank, Manningham, Port Phillip, Cardinia, Maribyrnong, Stonnington, Casey, Maroondah, Whitehorse, Darebin, Melbourne, Whittlesea, Frankston, Melton, Wyndham, Glen Eira, Monash, Yarra, Greater Dandenong, Moonee Valley, Yarra Ranges and Hobsons Bay.
